Lv2hnt Report post Posted September 6, 2013 Here's the deal: the all-terrain tires on my '98 Chevy 4x4 have served me well until last weekend when I had a side wall failure --- guess I could have bought tires with tougher side walls, but I wasn't planning on driving in desert sheep territory this year (not really complaining here). FYI, my quad IS running 8-ply rubber ;-) Anyone out there have an extra 6-lug 16" steel wheel gathering dust? I'm thinking having a 2nd spare might not be so dumb. I've looked at tire shops (used 16" wheels are scarce), and just can't bring myself to pop for a "new" rim to use as a 2nd spare. I already have a good tire for it. Thanks, Tom (480)760-3868 BTW, I'm in Gilbert ...
GOTMTNS Report post Posted September 7, 2013 When I get home in a couple weeks I will see if we have any extras for my dads Tahoe, after an incident on a elk hunt in '09 we always carry two spares for his too. I will be moving into my new house and prepping for my deer and elk hunts this time home, so I will be going through all the gear and let you know.
cohofishing Report post Posted September 7, 2013 I have one with a LT265/75R16 Goodyear tire on it that I have been kicking around my garage for years. I have two full size spares with 35's on them so I don't need it. Live in Sahuarita though. You can have it if we can figure out how to get to you.
