Now that sounds like a good idea. Problem is getting someone to volunteer for it.

I've heard of a few friends doing this...but usually someone's dad or parents that can no longer hunt or no longer want to hunt, but like to come along and spend time in camp. It's a great setup if you find the right person...

I know some one that his cooking is excellent! He will go if the pay is right :) That's in one hand... on the other hand...ask fellow cwt member Chef to se if he will do it :)

I've thought about doing this numerous times. Just never threw the idea out there. I'm not a great cook but not a bad one either. I've got a decent kitchen setup. A very well seasoned smoker that can put out some great ribs and pulled pork. Have won a few BBQ competitions and use to vend BBQ at the Lost Dutchman Days Rodeo each spring. Dutch oven & deep fryin is in the cards too. I'd entertain the thought. Don't have much vacation time left after my Elk hunt this year. But weekends are mostly free. Just never advertised the concept. Figured most folks already have that part taken care of.

My Grandfather is our camp cook. He can't go out anymore because of his gout, so he just stays in camp and does the prepping/cooking of the meals. He loves it and volunteers himself, we never have to ask him! He loves going out with us whether it be to go out shooting, camping or hunting. We sure do appreciate coming back to camp and having a hot meal. Thanks Tata!

In another 10 years or so (once I get the last of the kids through college.... ^_^ ) I'm going to quit the rat-race and loan myself out for FREE to cook, clean, pick guitar strings, and generaly be the 'camp helper' for my friends and anyone else who has a cool place to hunt! Absolutely love tending to dutch-ovens and a campfire all day long!

I have a friend of mine the hires a gal out of Flagstaff. I will see if I can get her info and pass it on. There are a few people around that are hired to do this and from what I understand the gal my buddy hired made awesome hot meals.
