Will forest service shut down roads due to mud?

It will start drying out by Thursday and throughout this weekend into next week, so more seasonal for this time of year. I would expect when the air dries out it will drop the temps and it will hopefully kick in more rut activity. All this rain is good for those of us who hike and spot/stalk. Also more humidity in the air doesn't carry your human scent. It is shaping up to be a very good early archery hunt.

highly doubtful they will close roads due to rain!! the elk herds are FAT and sassy most elk are caring an extra 50 - 100 pounds the calfs are huge already

Been raining pretty good in the northland since Labor Day. Lucky archery elk hunters might be well-advised to bring tow straps, tire chains, shovel, boards, jack, just in case. My neighbor lost a front hub last weekend scouting and was not going anywhere in 2WD.

with 14 inches of monsoon rain, i wouldn't go anywhere in a 2wd.is he a newbie.
