Hornhunter247 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 It was a great hunt! Had a couple shots that I missed early on while trying to spot n stalk these goats. I actually missed this buck on day 1. Finally had to pull out the blind and finish the job. The best part was having my son sitting right next to me on this eventful day! He learned a lot today and even tracked up the coyote we shot just before the antelope came in. I'm feeling pretty blessed to have been able to finally harvest one of these beautiful animals. Hornhunter247 Report post Posted September 3, 2013 This was in the south east corner of NM. It was an incredible hunt! I hunted in an area that I scouted hard and only turned up 32 goats total. But 3 bucks that were anywhere from 83" to a absolute monster that would have broke 90". I found this buck the first day if the hunt and was able to get within 80 yards of him everyday. Never could find the giant buck again. And only saw 1 other hunter the entire hunt. I'm still wound up about this hunt and really can't wait to draw this tag again! My buck ended up being 15" in length and scored 80 7/8". Hardest animal I've ever hunted with a bow. Thanks for all the great comments! 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
