Nitto terra grapplers or Big O bigfoot A/T's

Had no idea where to post this but what does a guy recommend out of the two different tires. I'm sure the question will be asked as to what I'm using them for however I need a good all around affordable tire.

I'm tire shopping right now too and decided to get BFG A/T from Toyota dealer. Buy 3 get 1 free special right now. Check it out maybe they can get what you want

Toyo or ProComp. Had the Terra's and they were noisier and didn't ride as well as either of these. Not sure what the Big O's look like now but had some a long time ago on a small truck and they were good tires.

I say big o the warranty is awesome last deer season I slit the sidewall took it in free replacement two days later I messed up another one free replacement. If you get them you will not ever use another

I am on my second set of Terra Graplers on my dodge... Think I got 45k out of my last set... Not bad for a diesel truck!

I have been running them on my F250 and have gotten upwards of 55K on them. they are 305-55X20 Load Range E

Bought a new jeep and had the dealership swap out the bfg all terrains with my trail grapplers off my old jeep as they only had 5k miles on them. Don't like the bfg all terrains or MUDs because they loose large chunks of tread off them. At least that's been my experience.

If your size is in a Toyo MT.... I highly recommend it. I've had mine on my tacoma for 2 years now and still have about 50% Tread and I use the heck out of my truck. Gotta love lite trucks! If you don't wan a mud terrain id go with nitto. BFG's are too soft IMO

Toyo open country AT2's hands down. I have ran BFG's And Nitto Terra graplers. The Nittos sucked in every way possible. had 3 sidewalls fail between 2 sets and the tread wear was terrible.

(Yes the truck was aligned properly many times throughout the tires life span.) Mind you I am running 3/4 ton diesel and I tow with it. The BFG's were great as long as you kept them rotated on a regular basis. (like every oil change). So far the Toyos although owned by Nitto have been the best set so far. They are also one of the very few that have a manufacturers 50,000 mi. warranty in an all terrain. Plan on waiting a couple weeks from the time you order them though. Its no secret that these tires are preforming well above the others in there class. The last 2 sets I ordered were on back order due to high demand.

 

Please keep in mind results will vary extremely depending on what vehicle they are on and how they are used. All my advice is for an 8000lb. 4x4 diesel truck.

A 1/2 ton, or S-10 or Tacoma will have a completely different experience with the exact same tire.

Trying to get a spare tire for my elk hunt.... Only problem is my Toyo MT is on back order until end of October .

 

Get on Craigslist and find a used tire. I found one that had almost no miles for $75. I went back and bought a full set that looked brand new, one set they had still had the stickers on them. I think I spent $450 for a $1,200 set of tires that had to have less than 10K miles on them.
