Outdoor Writer Report post Posted August 26, 2013 I have the same question but no kids to pass my WT 23 tag and My 22N Rifle bull tag to. Can i pass the tag to my wife? I just got notice I will be changing careers and most likely no time to hunt for 5 years Not allowed to transfer to anyone over 17 and then it has to be a son, daughter or a grandchild of yours. Below are your other options. Otherwise you can make tag soup. Should you be unable to use your big game permit, the Department is unable to reimburse you for your fees or reinstate your bonus points. However, you may donate your tag to a nonprofit organization that provides hunting opportunities to children with life-threatening medical conditions or qualifying permanent physical disabilities. The $4 transfer fee does not apply to nonprofit organizations. You may contact the following organizations to arrange for a donation. • Hunt of a Lifetime at www.hoalarizona.org. • Outdoor Experience 4 All at www.outdoorexperienceforall.org. • Catch-A-Dream at http://catchadream.org. • United Special Sportsmen Alliance at www.childswish.com. Outdoor Writer Report post Posted August 27, 2013 So since I am not going to be able to use my Unit 23 turkey tag I have to donate it to a nonprofit? I cannot transfer/donate it lets say to another couswhitetail member's child? Exactly. Only your own son, daughter or a child that you serve as LEGAL guardian for. Anyone of them must be between 10 and 17 yrs. old. As for donating it to a nonprofit, it has to fit the following: "However, you may donate your tag to a nonprofit organization that provides hunting opportunities to children with life-threatening medical conditions or qualifying permanent physical disabilities." In other words, you can't donate it to PETA, even though it's a nonprofit. ThomC: >>Only if you marry that person. LOL<< As long as she's 17 or younger. ThomC Report post Posted August 30, 2013 My bad, you have to marry someone with a child and then adopt or become the legal guardian of the child. WOW you might need a lawyer, that is bad.
