az_shooter Report post Posted August 21, 2013 What do y'all think about this new off the shelf ammo, one caliber in particular I'm interested in knowing about is the 180 grain 300 win mag load. If you don't have this caliber but still shoot this off the shelf ammo I would still like to hear what y'all think, thanks!
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted August 21, 2013 Very good stuff, but spendy. Make sure you keep the brass, you can resell it no problem.
MRL1984 Report post Posted August 21, 2013 I picked up a box of the 130 accubond for my 6.5 to get me started. No complaints, shot really well almost made me consider rolling my own.
PRDATR Report post Posted August 21, 2013 FYI, "if" you are going to reload it i have read that the primer pockets tend to expand more than other brands of brass and won't hold primers so you may only get a couple of reloads out of them.
rcdinaz Report post Posted August 21, 2013 Only shot it in one gun and it was fine. There are other premium loads that are very good as well. I ten to use the HSM cartridges loaded with the Berger HVLD's. I try to have a box as a back-up when I head out on a trip as a back up plan, OAL may not be exactly the same but most of the other ballistics will be very close so not much tinkering to confirm the gun is sited. az_shooter Report post Posted August 22, 2013 Thanks for the input so far, I plan to start reloading soon but as far as right now I don't have any reloading set up at all.
