Being a Christian is a lot different than acting like one, going to church every Sunday doesn’t make you anything, believing in God and having him in your heart is what makes someone a Christian to me. That being said I try not to judge others from any standpoint including religion, I decide whether I like or dislike someone by their actions and words. I have been in enough fights in my life that a few words don’t bother me, and they bother me even less when it is on the internet where most people are anonymous for the most part. With all that being said if someone says may God bless you, or something along those lines I don’t see it as pressure to become Christian. Someone could tell me Allah is watching over me and I would not take offense, I wouldn’t switch religions because nothing can replace my God and my beliefs, and they might believe the same. Along those same lines if someone invites you to church they are giving you an opportunity to go, you can go or not go it is your choice, but at least they cared enough to ask you to go.

Post your pictures and give your advice, they are both welcomed by me. As far as the moderators and Amanda I have never had a problem with them and I don’t think anyone else has either.

Good Luck and God Bless.

Still don't have an answer on the religious issue here. Maybe Ernesto or Amanda or the many other Christian members here can offer me one. I'm eagerly awaiting..........

I don't judge others by their religion, and I require the same of them. Religion just doesn't enter into my relationship with a person. I view it as their personal right to believe in their own religion. My lifelong buddy is LDS and not once has he or his family pressured me to convert..............not once. And I lived with them one entire summer in Oregon. I believe that a persons mind is his/her own, not to be artificially influenced by others. In fact.........I encourage it.................and would not be friends with anyone who is weak minded. I have many friends around the west, and not once has any one of them judged me or tried to influence me. I have friends that I've known for 15 years and have no idea what their religious beliefs are or whether or not they attend church on Sunday. Likewise with me. My lady friend is a sweetheart who reads the bible constantly.......and was raised a Christian.............and not once.......and I mean not once........has the subject come up between us.

So...................... grow up and knock it off you judgemental, pius, HypiChristians on this forum.

I have a bunch of trophy muley mount photos taken from around the west to post for your enjoyment. If I receive positive response to this post, I'll do it.

You say you don't judge others by their religon, but it looks like from your post your very judgemental & intolerant of christians at least on this site. Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. You decide for you and I'll decide for me, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Thank God for America and freedom of speech & Religion. And by the way your a Secular humanist, that's your religion and belief, it don't bug me. B)

My best mule deer hunting buddy asked me one time to do him a favor and not evagelize him. I told him I was good for that under one condition - if I found him on his death bed, I would talk to him about Jesus. He agreed, and so we have an agreement.

At least he knows where I stand, that I love God, and he can talk to me about it. I invite people to know Jesus. I force no one. Not my job.

If people of faith never make an effort to share, then I can only imagine that they can't possibly be grasping even the slightest reality of an all powerful, all knowing, ever present, Creator who dwells in the lives and hearts of His people - this God who made everything from the most vast galaxies to the tiniest components of what things are made of: atoms, molecules, the protiens and amino acids of DNA, and has built wisdom into the fantastic inner workings of all this incredible design, and then to be so powerful and unthreatened as to give His crown of creation - us - free will, to choose His love or to reject it. Then he builds a bridge that closes the gap between His perfect holyness and our imperfect fallen nature, that being the sacrifice of His Son so that all we gotta do is simply accept EVERYTHING he has as hiers to His treasures and to live with Him forever.

How can a person NOT share this??!!

Mike

Begin CHD quote that I dug up "You two gentlemen are admirable for starting and participating in this thread, believe me. Contributing here in any fashion is a rare event. However, you two are pissin' up a rope if you think the rest of these dudes care about this website or sharing useful information or their $$$. They are only takers.........not givers. You can post your jesus stuff all day long.........but they ain't gonna bite. They just don't get it. I really feel for the ADA people trying to drum up support here. No wonder they are tired.

A few in this crowd are decent men, including Rembrandt, Wetmule, Coues Addict, Scott Adams, and Bullwidgeon. Dunno whatever happened to Prohunt. He is loooooong gone, as are many of the other old timers, and never to return here.

These quality guys always put up quality posts, as they understand how the forum thing works. You post good stuff............................and you receive good stuff. It's a fair exchange. Too bad they got cheated out of the receiving and satisfaction end of this deal.

Tho not near as knowledgeable as the other five, it's time for me to give it up as well...............and hit the dusty trail, once again. I ain't gettin' nothin' outta this deal. I have acquaintances that offer me much more about mature Coues bucks and deer hunting. The sad part is that I enjoy helping young hunters.

Shallow posters who think they own this website and think that everyone has to post their way...................but they haven't contributed diddly here...........is mind boggling. I can't believe that this sheet is allowed to go on here. Same goes for young men with ego problems. I visit several other forums, and none of this is present there. These guys would be given the boot on any other decent forum. These guys just wanna run off the good members, so they can look like kings.

And so goes the history of the world.

Vaya con dios."

Whos judging who here?

KGAINES, thanks for your classy post. It is a rarity to read one like yours on a hunting forum. Thanks, Keith.

muliehunter, you are totally missing my point. I have nothing against Christians, and I require the same from them of me. What I am against........ is a Christian evangelizing and judging me (thanks for that appropriate word, Rembrandt) against my wishes.

Diamondbackaz, you are also totally missing my point, and have waaaaaaaaay too much time on your hands. It's not about judging people.......or pushing people's buttons (which I totally hate doing, LOL).......but about someone registered or empowered on this forum judging people based solely on their religious (or lack thereof) beliefs.

I have been persecuted and moderated on this forum based on my beliefs. For those of you that haven't hit the website yet, Secular Humanism is another term for Atheism, the ultimate "bad word" on a Christian based website.

Religious differences and prejudices that grow into complete hatred has caused more wars and has killed more people than anything else in the history of this world. Check out the constant Middle East battles as well as the genocide that has taken place on this planet. I'm disappointed in people that propagate this.

I think it's all about respect. If CHD believes in secular humanism, although I don't agree with that theology, he has a right to his opinion. I really don't know what the arguement is here, but It can all be resolved if we just have respect for one another. I believe God belongs in every part of my life, thats the way I live, but I don't believe in beating anyone over the head who doesn't believe the same. I was out in the "world", so to speak, for a lot of years and lived a life that I am ashamed of, but then the Lord came into my life and changed everything. I will never forget where I came from and I know that if God can change me, he can change anyone! Even a person that believes in secular humanism. Now CHD I'm not trying to evangelize, but I am a christian, it's as much of who I am as being a secular humanistic person is to you. I personally think that there are too many christians who talk a good sermon, but don't live one.

I am relitively new to this site and I personally haven't seen much of the evangelism that CHD mentioned, a few God bless you's here and there, but nothing to feel pressured to convert to christianity. I have seen a lot of obsenity on this site though, can't anyone speak english anymore? And no substituting special characters for the letters does not change the meaning. If members of this website know there are christians here too, then where's the respect? I hear enough obsenity at work, I shouldn't have to read it on a hunting forum in my own house. It seems you can't go anywhere anymore without hearing or seeing that garbage! I even saw a bumper sticker that said "f you" and yes it had the whole word spelled out.

Lets talk about hunting, and respect each other while we do it!

Now break out the muley pics! :)

Chris,

I'm not at all a religious guy either and have never felt persecuted on here. Oh so some people like Ernesto will bless me now and then, but I take that as an act of kindness and not one of disrespect. But what I was trying to get at is that you have issues with people on here that go way beyond religion. You have a pattern of posting a bunch of good stuff after being away for awhile, and then at some point, something controversial comes up and you get into a pissin match with someone and then say that "I'm outta here". You will dis-appear for awhile and the process starts all over again. This is the first time you actually stayed away. I don't mind the controversy except when it gets personal. Oh, by the way, it didn't take me long to find that post. Welcome back if that is what you wish. Ray

Ray,

Are you saying I'm predictable, LOL? Are you actually being nice to me (not kidding)???

You all can check out those muley pics on the AZOD forum. TLH doesn't delete my posts and look down on me because I'm a Secular Humanist.

AZ Guide--you crack me up!! Chris and i have never met and i assume he is a good guy because he is a hunter and an outdoors man--i think that about anyone that i meet on AZOD or here. I will meet Chris someday and maybe we will end up being friends, right now he has contributed a lot on AZOD and people like to see his pictures--my grand pappy was an Atheist and someday i will tell the story about his last days on earth--lets just say he had a change of heart the last 2 months of his life--no matter if you believe or not it made his last few months better and if there was something there when he left then he was happy--if there wasn't he didn't know any different any ways.

If you all want to see the big buck pictures you can see them here: http://www.azodchat.com/forum/viewtopic.ph...&highlight=

Matthew 28.18-20 and Jesus came and spoke to them, saying"all authority has been given to me in heaven and earth.Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and son and the Holy Spirit, and the Son and the Holy spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you;and lo,I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. As Christian, We love our lord and savior. this is why we tell and share the good news of Jesus. through him we are given all things and are honored to share Jesus. Chd you should be troubled by the post of our christians on this site. You are either for God are against God. That is you chose. By your post , you appear to be on the other side of the fence. My Christian Brothers are letting you know. " we love you! come and meet our lord and see His glory in you life. revelation 22 18-19 for I testify to everyone who hears the words of this prophecy of this book;if anyone adds to these things,God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;and if anyone takes away from the words of this book of this prophecy,God shall take away his part from the book of life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. From Genesis to Revelation, this Is our christian walk. I would love see see all our members come to know our Lord Jesus. God bless you all. kgaines, ernesto and other keep the faith. mike :D
