Is an Elephant just a big deer? not really.

Recommended Posts

this project is slightly larger than a coues deer but I thought you might like to see a pictorial of how an Elephant pedistal is put together.

We are one of the few shops in the Phoenix area that can handle a large project like this. Here is the basic flow of what it takes to put it together.

Here is the rehydrated skin ready for test fit, the trunk was cut off separate from cape.

Unbelievable! If you hadn't added all the pics I would have never realized how much went into that mount! Great job!

Incredible job, Jim & crew.

I had the "fortune" to mount a shoulder mount ele bull in TX before I moved here to AZ.

They are a mountain of work! Job commended, guys!

The pics really put it into perspective exactly how big an elephant is. Thanks for the pics :)

Now I'm trying to imagine what kind of room it will be displayed in because in my house it would take up an entire room all by itself...LOL

I can not fathom the work it takes to take on such a huge project. It's clear team work is a necessity. Thanks for posting all the pics. My hat is off to each of you and congratulations on a job well done. :)
