Phil Carr Report post Posted August 18, 2013 Be careful with that decoy outfit. Getting shot is not the only thing you need to worry about. Back in the early 80's my Brittany Spaniel was in heat and a big stray jumped the fence and was in full rut. Lots of neighborhood satellite dogs working the perimeter. I woke up to some commotion outside. I grabbed my BB gun and headed to the back door. Catching the stray in the act with his backside to me I let him have it. He switched ends and the last time I saw him in the moon light he was towing my Brittany over a 6 foot fence. All kidding aside good luck. I once borrowed a full size Cow decoy made up of over 3 sheets of plywood had a bench to sit on even. Used it to hunt SANDHILL Cranes. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But it took me for a ride a couple times in the strong winds we get down here. It's was more of a pain than what it was worth. It'll be in the truck this hunt though.
