ready2hunt Report post Posted August 11, 2013 Got my bow tuned, arrows tip'd, clothes are scent free, game bags are tucked in, knife is sharp, pack is organized and cinched, tag is signed, license in the wallet, truck is dirty, wife is feelin' lonely because my heart is pumping for another..... Is it too early for a role call for the AZ bow hunters? It's as though the older I get the less mature I am about handling the anticipation for bow season. Opening day can't come soon enough!!!

tjhunt2 Report post Posted August 11, 2013 Ready2hunt, here is what I've found over the years and my wife will agree. Maturity is less likely to ever improve this time of year. It's like an old buck that puts the blinders on and his senses just goes plain stupid once a year. It's bred in all archery hunters I personally know. I tell my wife it's quite normal. Good luck to everyone and keep the broad heads sharp. You just might get a chance to test your nerves on a big old buck. TJ

flcoues Report post Posted August 11, 2013 Good luck to all in AZ. Save a little one till January for a Florida guy who's bit bad by the Coues bug. I'm fired up for our season, and we still have a little over a month here before I can go after a swamp deer.
