for the duck hunters

a fellow duck hunter cleared his freezer and brought me some to do up for him, just finished these 4.

thought i'de share some pictures of some really pretty ducks.

Wigeon are my absolute favorite. Had a beautiful one at my taxidermist in TX and after I paid in full his place burned down. I haven't shot a wigeon since then! Bummer. Nice mounts- I have a gorgeous Bufflehead drake in my man-cave...

Same here never seen either where we hunt.

There's dozens of Buffleheads and Scaup (Bluebills) on Parker Canyon Lake every year... whole bunch of Ruddy Ducks too. Can't hunt the lake though, which is a bummer. There's plenty of room on the lake that time of year to safely conduct duck hunts.
