DesertBull Report post Posted October 6, 2006 Raining like a hurricane in unit 23, but it was actually lightning that made me leave. 1/4 mile from my glassing spot a juniper was EXPLODED by a huge bolt of lighting. It was burning like a torch as I hauled butt back to the truck. Not a good feeling holding an aluminum bow and tripod in a lighting storm.
coues7 Report post Posted October 6, 2006 Unfortunately I'm in Florida for 2 weeks for work.....my buddy did go out this morning and it's raining cats and dogs in 24a as well. He got in and the storm was moving towards him so he hot footed it back out. Nasty storm......I suppose we need it though!
