GreeneMachine Report post Posted August 7, 2013 If he's really your "Buddy" he wouldn't be asking you for money. I suggest you take the time to find some real buddies, or just hunt on your own. Aside from hunting with my kids, my best days in the field have been on my own. Good luck! Ats what I'm sayin!!!
PRDATR Report post Posted August 7, 2013 Every guide had to start somewhere and without references it just makes it hard to get clientele. Antlerfreak you are in a unique position that many would like to be in. A. You already know the guy. B. By your own admission he has a record of success. C. He is licensed, so he is GTG. D. The price is beyond reasonable and you could easily drop that much driving back and forth into 33 (a big unit) scouting it over and over without success. My last Elk hunt with a guide (almost 10 years ago) was more than double that, per day.
