bmf1321 Report post Posted October 5, 2006 I have the Badlands pack and was packing it yesterday for a weekend scouting/backpack trip this weekend and am having a heck of a time figuring out where the rifle goes in the pack. Does anyone have this pack and know where the rifle goes or know of a site that shows the pack loaded up? Thanks. Brett
25-06 Report post Posted October 6, 2006 I have the badlands 2200 pack, It's a great pack but I don't think it's designed to carry a rifle But it carries a tri pod and spoting scope along with water and snackins just fine oh ya it does carry a bow just fine too
COUESAZ Report post Posted October 6, 2006 I think you can put the butt of the gun In the net pocket on the one side and then use the strap above that to hold the top steady. I do not have my 2200 anymore so i can't look at it to see, I bought the super day after my 2200 was stolen with my bull pac.

bmf1321 Report post Posted October 6, 2006 i think i will use the netting to carry the rifle and carry my tripod with my sleeping pad on the lower straps. That or I will rig something up to attach the rifle to the pack. The booklet does say that it can carry a rifle. Thanks for the help.
BASS Report post Posted October 26, 2006 I'm just thinking out loud here, but for a rifle hunt you want to be seen. So maybe you pull out the meat locker bottom/ orange flag and let the rifle butt sit on that? Then use the batwings to hold it still? That's the only way I could see it holding a rifle.
