TEAM TOAD Report post Posted October 3, 2006 This is the story that I got with the photo. Anybody here about this?? This Elk was killed with a bow in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. He green scored 575" and should net out at about 530" non typical. He has and unbelievable outside spread of 79". This is the biggest bull ever taken with any weapon. I'm going to try and post the picture.

couesdiehard Report post Posted October 3, 2006 On the Boone & Crockett web-site, Trophy Watch page they are saying this one is already under suspicion. It may have been a "canned" hunt in Canada on some kind of game farm. The link to the web page is in the other thread under miscellaneous items... crazy4COUES Report post Posted October 4, 2006 The Selway-Bitterroot wilderness is Idaho, Montana border area. Some people enjoy "fake", it is sad that it has become acceptable to be "fake" as far as farmed game or implanted hooters. Bring on the real ones big or small I will take em' all. Really, how do you appreciate something that is manufactured to percieve what you want it to be?

dave Report post Posted October 4, 2006 O.K. where do you draw the line? The feeder? The farm? The tree stand? The blind? The picture? The fence? I guess every one has to decide how they want to hunt and choose their friends. As one that likes to spot and stalk, most people I usta know hauled arse and so does the game. I don't mind the solitude.

GRONG Report post Posted October 5, 2006 This might sound nuts and some of you might get PO'd at me but all I see is one heck of a set of antlers! I think it's awesome that an animal can grow a set of bone like that, regardless of natural green grass or if it's genetically enhanced. To me, I appreciate them all but could care less to show up on the farm, ring the dinner bell and have the elk come running up to the end of my rifle barrel oh so conveniently placed about 3 1/2' up from the bail of hay on the ground. To me that's not hunting but to some guy/gal who defacates money on a regular basis and it's legal.... have at it. Here's some better shots of that rack. Doesn't look as big when the guys aren't 10' behind it. Still, it's a freakin BEAST. I seriously doubt it's 575" either. I can see around 500" though.
