HUGE Elk

Recommended Posts

I think it is a great set of horns, what gets me is that some people shoot these animals and act like they have done something great when in all reality they just shot a pet. If a rancher sold me cow and said I had to shoot it and I could have it, I would do it, I wouldn't take a bunch of pictures and act like I hunted and killed the cow, all it would be is that I just bought fresh beef, these guys just bought fresh elk, and they probably way overpayed for it because of the antlers, you can only hope that the meat wasn't wasted.

Exactly. I have no problem with the act it's self, as long as all of the meat is eaten and the animal was treated humanely.

Just don't tell try to tell us you "hunted" for it. Which leads me to the question of, why is he wearing camo?

DesertBull,

I was wondering the same thing. Why is he wearing camo? They have a picture of that thing eating out of a grain bin, what did he do, hide above it. If he really wanted to wear camo he should have just dressed up like the farmer who raised that elk or at least an employee there on the game farm. Maybe he just put that camo on after he killed so we would think he was a real hunter, would not have looked as cool with him in his carhart overalls and a piece of Grama grass sticking out of his mouth now would it. Nonetheless, those are some huge antlers!! AG

i still kinda think that is the same bull i took pictures of earlier this year at the hunting expo out in Harrisburg PA, the guy said they were sheds from SASK, home grown bull, said they scored 518, man that rack was very very massive and some long tines on him, was a freak for sure, but anyway looks very similiar to the pics, sorry the pics are so blurry, $4 camera haha.

Not to get anything started here but I don't think anyone has said that it was a real hunt have they? This is like the two big 450 class bulls the one hunter shot in two different localities a couple of years ago. I believe they were both "canned" hunts and he never said otherwise.
