October hunt in 36B

Hunting this hunt and unit for 20 years and I got my tag , my buddy and his son did not, got his stuff back saying unsuccessful , hunt full. It has been historically a hunt that did not fill and you could get a leftover tag easily. I guess I will be expecting 799 other hunters with me.

Any ideas on why this hunt sold out?

Was he applying as a non-resident?

No , he is a resident and has joined me on the hunt for most of the last 20 years.

Just think it odd that his notice said: 'unsuccessful ' if there were leftover tags.

It happens. I got the ame results for the unit 33 hunts. Thought it was a for sure thing until it came up with nada. I agree with Kaffer62.

Jim, tell him to come hunt anyway. All that border patrol there can't catch them WetBacks, they sure as a heck aint gonna catch Your buddy. Must be more folks putting in down there now.I loved hunting with You guys 3 years ago and whould love to do it again, but I got tags in Montana and North Dakota this year. Just kidding on Your friend hunting without a tag, but You know its true down there. Have You ever seen G&F at camp? Give Me a Call up here . ........BOB!....Ps Jim puts on one of the best camps I ever been in.
