Alaska !!!

Just got back from our Alaskan fishing adventure with Waters Edge Lodge in Elfin Cove. Fishing for silver salmon, big halibut and lots of Black Sea bass! Can't wait to go back!

Did you bring fillets home with you?

 

My Dad went up one time and brought back a bunch of silver fillets. Great eating.

Sandra and I brought home 250 lbs of fillets, Cliff and Fred Amator ( our fishing partners) brought home the same!

Should have mentioned this is a self guided fishing trip. You fly to Juneau then take a float plane to Elfin Cove. Where you are met by Kelly and Mary. Great boats and great staff! They point you in the right direction to get salmon, rock fish, and halibut. Your fish are filleted and frozen when you return for the day. Anyone interested should check out their website .

This is our second year there and for those of you that have a bit of boat savvy, self guided is the way to go.

The first of many is this Friday!

18 lb King, mostly caught pinks and silvers. The silvers were 8 to 13.
