AZ Unit 33 Junior

Hi All,

 

I live in CA, my son drew Unit 33. I love to bowhunt, have all the right gear to glass/camp. If anyone can help me out, or at least point me in the right direction. I really appreciate your guys help on this.

The AZGFD has some good starting points for 33 on their website. Be prepared for a tough hunt as there are 2 hunts prior to the jr hunt and the deer are usually holding up pretty good by then. 33 holds a lot of great deer. You guys will get to see some awesome country an lots of animals... And people...

Which hunt did your son draw?? Early October jr hunt or the November jr hunt?

I will be hunting with my son and 3 other boys in 33 during the early hunt. We hunt 33 quite a bit. Will you have time to scout before the hunt?

How did you do on the early hunt? My son has the Nov 22-28 for his first hunt, he just turned 10 last month so we're hoping we get to see a lot out there just to get him excited with hunting overall. If he's able to fill the tag that'll just be icing on the cake.

Just be ready to do some hiking. The farther you can get away from other hunters the more deer you will have a chance to see! There are some really good deer in this unit you will just have to work for them. Good luck to your boy I look forward to hearing how you guys do.
