Keven I was about 150 yards from the buck on both pictures.

 

Good luck down in 29 this weekend, I was down last weekend and man was it green...watch out for the snakes.

I've made a few scouting trips already this year but still haven't found what I'm looking for. I know they are there though. Heres a pic of how green it is from labor day weekend.

Yep, that is too bad about Rucker Lake. My family has a cabin in West Turkey Creek and my grandfather actually worked on the dam at Rucker. I've spent some days at that lake.

 

I was down there 2 weeks ago and it is very green down there.

I caught my first fish out of Rucker Lake. I used to love to hunt whitetail and fish out there. Now just whitetail. I bet it wouldn't take that much to get that lake back up. Would it??

The doe in the 2nd picture of the muley she is out in the open but still is blending in really good....maybe its just all of the focus is on the toad!
