Workman Report post Posted July 20, 2013 It would be tough not to but I think I'd have to keep him around. If they come in the same every time that swing in the back would be my new hotspot, with a feed bag.

Pine Donkey Report post Posted July 20, 2013 This is a tough choice and one that I have mulled over many times over the past few years. On one hand it is not real sporting to shoot deer out of the front yard. They are very routine and become accustomed to humans. We enjoy seeing these animals and thus far, have decided not to shoot any out of the yard. With this said, we have taken a couple smaller ones in the canyons and draws near us. On the other hand, we have passed some monsters in the yard only to see others take them from their front porch. Many people from out of town show up in January to cruise the streets and shoot deer we have decided not to hunt. On the third hand, we have seen several huge bucks...trophies in anyone's book, get splattered all over the road by neighborhood traffic. Many times we have chased these deer out of town, only to have them loop around and come right back into town. Bottom line is if you are in an area where it is legal to hunt with a bow, it comes down to what you feel good about. If you are good with it, and it is legal, then who cares what others feel. muledeerarea33? Report post Posted July 20, 2013 I agree with pine donkey, I've seen some nice deer close to the house, if there's a hunt and you live far enough from most of the mass I'd say take you shot. I know the deer we've had here have been killed by other hunters. Personally I see no problem with it as long as your mind set is that SE one else can legally shoot them close to home.
