If you're referencing this "Allow the use of a crossbow for the take of big game for all general big game seasons*;

" it's for the general season not archery.

With the general hunts you're hunting along side guys with guns, archery at that time has always been legal. Guess they just wanted to clarify the use of a crossbow .

^^^^what they said. Have a friend with a bad arm that did that a couple of years ago. Take the dr's note to game and fish and they give you a sticker or card or both that you carry with you.

I am that friend.I printed out a form from the G@ F,took it to my doctor and he signed it.I assumed the 90% disability in one arm would prevent me from getting a permit.That is not true.The doctors signature is the main thing.I took the form in to the g@f office.A woman just gave me a larger card to leave on the dash of my truck and a small one to carry with me.
