Bitter24 Report post Posted July 18, 2013 Hey guys and gals, This is the first time I will be hunting deer in AZ. I drew a tag for the 30A mule hunt, which apparently has a lot of left over tags. I know the southern half of that unit pretty well. Just wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions to hunting mulies in that unit during the later half of Nov. Would it be better to hunt water holes, spot and stalk, or when is the rut for mulies in this state? I plan on doing A LOT of scouting prior to my hunt to try and locate/pattern a buck. Though thought it was worth a shot to ask. Thanks Bitter
Jcubed Report post Posted July 19, 2013 You will miss the rut. I prefer glassing and going from there. Good luck

creed_az_88 Report post Posted July 20, 2013 Best advice for somebody hunting this unit for the first time- mature bucks live in the flats not the hills.
