sjvcon Report post Posted July 19, 2013 Just be careful. Buddy of mine bought some off CL and took to Outdoorsman to send in for a minor repair. Two days later the PoPo showed up asking where he got the stolen glass from.
123456 Report post Posted July 19, 2013 That is a terrible story, I had a similar event happen to me about 10 years ago with a bow. I ended up getting restitution checks for 3 years that totaled the 250$ I spent on the stolen bow. Makes me second guess every used item I buy now!
rcdinaz Report post Posted July 19, 2013 Heck of a deal! You could send the serial number to Swarovski USA and they could tell you if they check out. Problem is it may take awhile to get an answer.

Swivelhead Report post Posted July 19, 2013 Heck of a deal! You could send the serial number to Swarovski USA and they could tell you if they check out. Problem is it may take awhile to get an answer. I recently acquired some used swaro binos. Contacted swaro USA prior to sale with serial # and received an answer within 24 hours. Definitely worth doing. Also verified year of manufacture, etc.

They are usually pretty quick with their turnaround answer time.
willhunt4coues Report post Posted July 19, 2013 I bought a pair of 15x56 off a guy on here back in 2009. He called Swaro and asked if warranty could be transfered to me they said yes. he even gave them my name and all. I called swaro when I bought them gave them my name serial number and all the info they wanted. Well last year in October the whole left side went out of focus so I called swaro and told them I needed warranty work done. She asked for my name I gave it to her and no record of me in system. So she asked for serial number and guess what NO RECORD. I told her this can not be I called did everything I was suppose to and still no record. Well anyways I fought with her and won they repaired them and I had them in hand 1 month later (1 week before my deer hunt). Make sure if you do ever buy any used you double check to make sure they have your info on file. Just a heads up!!!
