The last two days of scouting with my son have produced some great memories. We spotted some new animals and developed some good techniques my son can use on all future trips. He is getting better at glassing, he actually is finding his own animals. Today he spotted several Mule Deer.

 

Here are some pics of the "first time" finds.

This was dry two weeks ago, it is now about four feet deep now.

We also found a lion kill that was only a few days old. Here is one of the tracks in the mud next to my boot. No claws and four front pads with ine main pad.

it's all about patience , he's learning it's all perporcanal to the time you put in the woods, he's a lucky kid to have a dad like you. keep building those memeries . thanks for shareing

It's hard to believe that he is getting as big as he is. Another two years and he probably could take me on. NOT that he would win. He is tall and already around 130 lbs. Both his grand fathers are tall 6"2 and 6"4.

I have come back and checked it out a couple times... never hunted em but they sure are cool lookin!

how do you guys scout around in this heat?

I'm a native Arizonan and I work in the heat all day everyday I'm used to it plenty of h2o
