ScottAF Report post Posted September 29, 2006 Just crap to do things like this.My grandfather walked up on a guy in the field who was going to shoot a mule deer doe one time. And my grandfather pointed his rifle at the guy and told him "if you shoot that doe I'm going to shoot you".Needless to say my grandfather can't stand these types of things. He owns a house up in Overgard Az,and he says you can here rifle shots at night sometimes. And it just makes him sick because he knows some a$$hole is poaching an Elk or Deer. az4life Report post Posted September 29, 2006 That definitely stinks. Shooting 3 at a time is a sure sign of a sick person. I mean to shoot them and just leave them is not even poaching in my book. It's just killing! The culprits should be severely punished when found. Did you notice each game manager had word for word the exact same statement... "This is a blatant example of poachers' disrespect for wildlife and the laws and seasons that are established to protect our wildlife resources," says Wildlife Manager"... C'mon Take it personally guys! Find the bugger and hang him up by his trigger finger!
BASS Report post Posted September 29, 2006 I know there has to be a few others dead down the 81A road. A large herd crossed the road in front of me, so I grabbed the camera and took off chasing them. Once they settled down a little I was trying to get closer for some video when a rifle shot scared me half to death, it sounded so close. The herd took off again, and two more quicker shots followed. I got back in the truck and drove the roads for a while looking for a camp that maybe was target shooting or something but found nothing. I reported that, but never heard anything else about it. shortpants Report post Posted October 2, 2006 While guideing in 5b south this last weekend My client and I saw the strangest thing. A group of elk came running past us and my client shot at and missed the last bull in the herd. (he wasn't running at the time of the shot) Right after that 2 more bulls came running right behind us followed closely by 2 cowboys on horses trying to rope the bulls. I don't know if they caught the bulls or not but I just wanted to go start shooting their cows I was so mad!
