Obsession Knightmare

Recommended Posts

Anyone know anything about this bow or bow company. ArcheryTalk guys seem to love it ... favorable comparisons to Mathews Monster and Bowtech Insanity CPX. Just wondering if any local guys have shot one and what they think??? I am thinking hard on getting one.

I saw one on craigslist just the other day. I had never heard of the brand before, but it looked pretty nice.

Yeah ... if I do it, I am going with an 80# limb.

Thanks Toby. I'll give them a call. Like to shoot one before I buy.

Just ordered my Knightmare. 80#'er. Hoping it is as fast and smooth as they say it will be.

Nice.

Do they ship "Popeye" along with the bow to help draw that 80 pounder. That thing is probably smoking fast.

70lbs is about all I can comfortably handle these days

80# shouldn't be that bad. I still pull a 65# recurve pretty easy, and my Mathews tops at 74#, which is a breeze to draw.

Just looking for some more speed.

Post some pix and specs of your setup when you can!

How fast are you wanting to shoot? What weight arrow? I recently went to a heavy arrow at a slower speed and boy did my accuracy go up.

Well, the IBO is 350. My DL is 28", so I'll lose some speed there, but bumping to 80 should help a bit. Going to try to shoot as close to 400 grains as I can ... maybe 425 or so. Maybe I can get 320 or so??? That is quite a bit more than what I am getting now, and should keep me pretty flat out to 40 or so.

Yeah 320 will be very flat. I was shooting 316 with a 378gr arrow, and my pins were stacked. I switched to a 455gr. arrow @ 285 FPS and I will not shoot light arrows ever again. Wind drift is considerably less and penetration on the target seems to be a whole lot deeper with my new set up. Post some pics of your new set up, I have never seen a Knightmare.
