Sunrise 3D shoot

Recommended Posts

Good morning, Just got back from the Sunrise 3D Shoot. Great time! They did an incredible job setting targets etc. My family and I shot the non-competitive rounds. Their were a total of 7 courses for us. 4 of those courses were at the top of the ski lift area. Found out the key to getting through the course in a timely manner was getting up and being at the ski lift at 7:00 Am. We managed to shoot a round in about 1 hour. 15 targets. We did get caught the first day behind multiple large groups making the course shoot slow. Around 3 hours. Still a great time. They really did a nice job with this shoot. Will definitely be back. I would recommend doing the pre-registration. Save money and don't have to wait in a super long line the first day. Just walked right up and got lift tickets and score cards. Very nice!! Here are a few pics of the weekend. Jake

It was a great time. All me and my dad did was the extreme course at the top of the mountain. It was awesome! I'm still thinking about the mountain goat that I missed at 103 yards at a very steep angle. Great course!

Never made it up there for that one. Were all the targets long distance? Crowds small? Cant wait for next year! Hope I get a call soon that we won an elk hunt:)

There was one other guy up there. The closest shot was 45 yards the furthest was 103 yards. The tough part was the extreme angles. It taught me and my dad a lot. Now I would like to buy me a rangefinder with angle compensation. Great practice for sure.

Looks and sounds like a blast. I keep telling myself I am going to take the family and go one year. Is it always the weekend of the 4th of July?

Well I can say i shot it but don 't think i would go out of my way to do it again. I thaught it was very un orginized. Every thing seemed like hurry up and wait.

I too did not make the shoot this year, first time in many years. Riding the lift the lift and hearing arrows busting in the trees and rocks always brings a smile to my face. Knowing I'm not the only one.
