Elkhunter1 Report post Posted July 6, 2013 My buddy Bigorange asked my to make him a security box for his new trail cam, in exchange I got a High-Lift jack he had. Due to the smaller camera I had to rethink the mounting bracket. Here is what I came up with. What do you think? This bracket allows you to tilt and pan. tjhunt2 Report post Posted July 6, 2013 That sure looks like an awesome security box Stephen. I like the idea of being able to adjust for tilt. I never seem to find the right stick for that. Thanks for sharing. TJ
bigorange Report post Posted August 5, 2013 I never noticed this post until today...looking back or your thread about the new Nikon camera. Could have used that this weekend checking pics. My Canon won't read pics from my trailvam but nikons seem to work great. Anyway, loving the new box and yes the bracket for adjusting angle worked great and didn't have to find just the right angled tree.
Willyhunts2 Report post Posted August 14, 2013 Looks like it will make most theiving scum move on. Good job and like the panning/tilt feature! Do you know how much it weighs?
Elkhunter1 Report post Posted August 14, 2013 Looks like it will make most theiving scum move on. Good job and like the panning/tilt feature! Do you know how much it weighs? With the chain at 5ft and the locks around 20-25lbs I haven't weighed any of the models I fabricated. The weight depends on material thickness and overall size of the cam I need to fit in it.
