Mann Gulch, Dude, Storm King and now Yarnell

Such sorrow. My heart goes out to all involved.

Mann Gulch was 13, Dude was 6, Storm King (South Canyon Fire) was 14. This is the largest loss of wildland firefighters in history. I knew a couple of those guys and have served on a line crew beside Granite Mountain IHC. They are a good crew. My hear is heavy and there are no words beyond prayer right now for me.

Drove by the area last night, thinking this is going to be bad with this wind. Got home and saw the news about the 19 young men, nothing could have been worse. Still at a loss of words.......

Went to lunch a little over an hour ago and was stopped at a light when the procession came through carrying the bodies of the firefighters. Talk about powerful! Probably 30 police and fire vehicles escorting the remains to the Maricopa Medical Examiners Office. Hard to not shed a tear for them and their families.

a couple of the widows went to NM for the filming of the movie, I worked with them quite a bit so curious to see how they will be portrayed in the movie
