Really need some input

Recommended Posts

Ok I am looking for a scope for my 7mm rem mag. The two scopes it has came down to a leupold vx3 4.5-14 or vortex 4-12. I have one leupold vx3 and other leupold scopes and love them. I have vortex binos and love them. So are the vortex scopes just as good will it hold up to the recoil. If any advice will be used to make mind up. Thanks to all that give there .02

I have a vx-3 on my 7 mag and absolutely love it. If it were me I would go with the vx-3 but I don't have any experience with vortex

I have has a VXll on a Rem 700 in 7Mag since about 1991 with no problems what so ever. It is a 4-12X and has taken a few hard bumps when I lost footing and has never lost zero or gotten fogged up.

I have hunted here and in Alaska with it in temps near zero and well over 100*F and in the rain and snow. My only beef is eye relief diminishes as I zoom up to 12X.

You will probably pay more money for the Leupold but it is 100$ made in the US.

The vortex viper line is every bit as good as the leupold vx3 line. I would choose the viper hs 4-16x44 and know that i have as good a scope as the vx3. Now the vortex 4-12 sounds like the diamondback in which case i would choose the leupold vx3 over the diamondback.
