azcouesandelk Report post Posted September 24, 2006 Well I went to unit 10 to help a couple of buddies who had archery bull tags. Sadly they have not tagged yet but will be up there the whole hunt. I on the other hand I as able to locate 44 bulls in 2 1/2 days. Out of those 44 bulls 30 were 6x6 or bigger and out of those 30 at least 22 would have scored over 300. I was able to locate 25 6x6's, 1 6x7, 3 7x7's and an 8x7. I got some pictures of a few of the bulls but some are not clear because a few of these pictures were taken at close to 2 miles. A nice 7x7 that decided to stand broadside from me at 42 yards for about 3 minutes. I really wish I had the tag This is the picture taken from about 2 miles. He was a wide 7x7 that I thought would go in the 350 range. Here is a picture of a 6x6 and the antler above the tree is from a 6x7. Here is a pic of the 6x6 in the picture above. He was a very solid bull in the 330 range I believe. Lastly I ran into some not so smart mulies. They let me get within 40 yards of them while I was in the open. Hope y'all enjoy. And lets hear some feedback on these bulls.

Hope your buddies fill out. Lastly I ran into some not so smart mulies. They let me get within 40 yards of them while I was in the open. Hope y'all enjoy. And lets hear some feedback on these bulls. azcouesandelk Report post Posted September 25, 2006 thanks for sharing. were the rutting very hard? No they were not actually. Alot of the bulls were staying quiet but I would say close to 1/2 were starting to rut pretty good.

I suppose when I am 90 years old or so I will start putting for cow, but until then nothing but BULLS for me, even if you have to wait its worth it. If you keep putting in for cow that is all you are gonna get. Last years Unit 27 Archery Bull.
