I do not post much that is not related to hunting. So forgive me on this one, But I hope Matt hughes beats BJ penn down good tonight in the UFC championship. Just something else i am into is the UFC fights so i thought i would throw this out there to see if anyone else is a watcher.

I am also a Matt Hughs fan Arizona guide. That was a good fight. Hughs was in trouble there for a little bit when Penn got his hooks in and almost sunk the rear naked choke, and when he almost fell victum to the armbar. Penn needs to fight light weight. He would dominate the 155 lb division.

Yes i was up and down out of my seat and back in it . Wondering what was going to take place. BJ Just burned out from trying to get those submissions down. Thank goodness. The first fight with ( Litle Evil )JENS. Did not go anything like i thought it would, But it goes to show if you left the fighting you should probably not try to come back. Mike swick rocked as well, But i do not think he stands a chance with rich franklin.

Jens didnt leave, he has been fighting in Pride. He just got caught perfectly on the button. It could happen to anyone. David louaso should have steam rolled Mike Swick, but he did not fight Swick agressive enough.

Yea he started throwing those deadly blows in the last round. I thought he was going to put swick away in that round. I know Jens went to Pride and has been fighting over seas. Like he said when they asked him if he was disepointed in himself. He said heck no ive sliped before and been nocked out plenty of times. It was a slip that started his kO in this fight anyways. That kid that faught him just kept at it and followed through with the right punch to the chin. It is good to see a class for the littler expolsive fighters. I wonder who will drop down now to fight the class they want to. Well now Matt can start thinking about finishing GSP in the next fight. At least George wont tire out after the first round so it should be an even better fight than the BJ fight. If anyone can beat matt it will be George, But he is one down to matt already.

i didnt get to see the fights cause i was at Roosevelt but i love the UFC! when i got home, i would have guessed Matt Hughes would have knocked him out in the first round i was amazed to see he TKO's himin the 3rd! Matt hughes is a stud and along with Liddell are my favorite fighters. The guy that knocked Jens out is my room mates brothers friend who actually trains with them. i have been in the ring with him and Drew Fickett and rolled with them a little bit.

How far back can you remember the UFC?? Do you remember the BEAST? Dan Severn?? Now he was an animal--he is also my brother in laws brother. I wrestled at ASU when Dan was the heavy weight and when he got into the UFC i thought he was nuts--once he learned how to use his hands better he WAS nuts!! Frye is another one of the old ASU wrestlers that turned to the UFC and he can flat put the smack down on ya with his right hooks and his deadly wrestling skills--great sport and i really like to watch it!!

The first UFC I seen was UFC 2. Back then everyone was one dimentional. They were not half the fighters they are now. No offence to any of them. I train and respect anyone who gets in that ring. I remember Dan Severn, and Don Frye. I have met both of them. Both at wrestling tournaments when I was in highschool. My coach knew them very good. Dan's only problem is that he was too much of a wrestler. He would get guys down and not know what to do with them, and he had no stand up. But he was a dam good wrestler. And as for Matt Hughs knocking BJ Penn out, its a good thing he quit trying to mix it up with him cause BJ has better stand up and almost knocked Matt out. Not badmouthing Matt, he is one of my favorite fighters.
