The other chick is almost fully adult feathered except for some fuzz still around its head. Was fun watching the family. Hope it survives. Found this little guy under my truck when I got back. Coach Report post Posted June 18, 2013 Bummer - I have a huge soft spot for any baby bird, and owls in general. Jcubed Report post Posted June 18, 2013 Bummer. I love owls and have many a story of the silent fliers scaring me in the woods at dark. I have been watching a family of hawks in a eucalyptus tree at work for the last few months. I haven't seen the chicks or parents this week so I hope they all flew away and are soaring high. CouesWhitetail Report post Posted June 18, 2013 Sad indeed.....we have been watching some great horned owl babies in a nest between a couple billboards in Globe, and they left the nest a couple weeks ago and we saw one road killed right near there the other day.
