Pine Donkey Report post Posted June 12, 2013 I love this type of story. Just shows there is room for class in the business of professional sports. I bet they also end up profiting from this. http://espn.go.com/mlb/draft/2013/story/_/id/9356727/arizona-diamondbacks-draft-paralyzed-player-34th-round

bonecollector Report post Posted June 12, 2013 Its about time the Dbacks pitchers stick up for their teammates. Upton was hit way too many times when he was here and nobody ever retaliated for him. There is a reason Greinke had his collar bone broke earlier in the season.
ForkHorn Report post Posted June 12, 2013 ^^This^^ Greinke is not exactly innocent.

DesertBull Report post Posted June 12, 2013 So if Greinke protects his teammate, who got hit in the face first, Kennedy is the hero? And did you see him head straight for the dugout after he went for Greinke's head? Bush league. order of events, in case you don't remember Kennedy hits Puig in the face Greinke hits Monterro between the numbers Kennedy throws at Greink's head , then makes beeline to the dugout. if you have the nads to throw at players head....then have the nads to stand there and face the consequences. DesertBull Report post Posted June 12, 2013 . There is a reason Greinke had his collar bone broke earlier in the season. Maybe because he stood his ground and didn't head for the safety of the dug out?
bonecollector Report post Posted June 12, 2013 I believe I remember Ross was hit first before Pug ACTED like he was hit in the face. You cant tell me if he was really hit in the face with a 90 mph fastball and not have a spec of blood on his face or a broken nose? Kennedy was kicked out right away and he walked off the field, Greinke didnt charge him so why stand there? The benches didnt clear right away from what I remember. I am not saying Kennedy is a hero just saying I am glad the Dbacks pitchers are finally sticking up for their teammates not like in the past where they just let it go. I am sure its not over with either prolly not tonight but in the future it will happen again. McGwire was having some roid rage last night too. Lol
