Jcubed Report post Posted June 11, 2013 Well this stinks. I was planning on hiking up into the wilderness in the not too distant future. Guess I better find another way.

missedagain Report post Posted June 11, 2013 Forest service wants you out of their forest. Read the end of the article what it is saying is that when they reopen this area it is going to be a pay to enjoy their forest area.
coues krazy Report post Posted June 15, 2013 The more I think about this, the more it stinks.Danger from tree branches? What a joke. Its all about making bull pen ranch a pay to play area like most of the spots in and around sedona. This place has been a free area since my granperents came to sedona in the 30's. Trees can fall on you anywere in the woods. Just another government money grab...
Coach Report post Posted June 15, 2013 You know the feds, "don't let any good crisis go to waste". 4Falls, that's pretty much exactly what my wife and I said when we saw this. Couple of guys with chainsaws over a weekend - problem solved. But that's how big gov't works. Write up a "Risk Assessment" document, talk and talk, get lawyers involved, meanwhile tell the public to stay out. I want the feds out of our forests so bad... don't get me started.
swwildlife Report post Posted June 15, 2013 Its all about closure, I have said this time and time again, they want us out of their forests! case in point, Bushnell tanks, needle rock area, the area south of needle rock, sycamore creek(soon to be a pay area), all closed trails around Forest Lakes. Until we stand up and take back our forests, they will continue to close areas.(now I don't know how we do that)
