thunderbolt Report post Posted September 22, 2006 GOOD LUCK to all who have elk tags. I envy you guys!!! The rut, the country, the cool fresh air, the family and friends to spend it with, hearing the bugling by the camp fire all night long, the rut, oh did i say the rut man i miss that stuff. I've had three archery cow tags and haven't tagged a thing. Tagging an elk would of just been the cherry on top. HAVE A SAFE TRIP AND GOD BLESS.

Red Rabbit Report post Posted September 22, 2006 Went out last evening and saw over a hundred elk, including this bull with a deep groan. mattys281 Report post Posted September 22, 2006 Me and my bro heading to 27 with Bull tags tomorrow and we'll be there all week...can't wait. I was in 27 for the first week of archery deer. There was a huge 6x6 working the fingers leading into the Bear Wallow Wilderness on the north end. I had a treestand in a saddle on the ridge just west of trail 62 & he came by at about 6 yards chasing a couple of cows. Good luck.
