If it is through an FFL, which is has to be, he can ship the gun to the receiving FFL, and you can make sure it is there before you send the $$$. It is really that easy. Shipping cost risk on his end, no risk on the buyer end. If I was in the marked for one, I'd sure give it a go. Looks like a nice rig all in all. And whoever said "Lighten up Francis" ... Only risk is the shipper destroying it or having to pay to ship it back if the person doesn't send the $$ to the seller. The gun is sold pending a sucessful transaction. Hope my first gun sale to AZ is a good one. If you ever list something for sale on the Iowa forums ill speak up for you like you did for me, but then again you'll probably be good being a Iowa born native and with your handle. If you need a place to crash in Iowa and I can help you out let me know. You probably didn't see the several other scams from brand new members on this site over the past few months. All of the scams started with someone from out of state, posting something for sale within the first hour of being a member. They also had some kind of shady deal they wanted to do in order to get payment for the gun. Your post appeared to be one of those other scams to me. Sorry if you took my post as being disrespectful, but that was not my intentions. I just didn't want someone to fall victim to a scam for that much money. Just a tip for next time, maybe you should give a little background story about yourself and how you came upon this website. That way everyone will understand why you are posting something for sale within the first hour of being a member. I'm glad you were successful on your sale. AZhunter05, sorry I mixed up my screen names between here and Iowawhitetail. I was directing my response about the weather etc. to Iowaborn on this forum and his handle on iowawhitetail is AZHunter. I get putting more specifics about how I came to this forum but when I explained how I wanted to do the transfer and did fill out my profile I figured that would at least calm most of the "scam" posts. What I really didn't like is that someone claimed they sent money and didn't receive the gun and I never met them OR posted it to even have that happen. I know how the internet scammers work (at least I hope so) and anyone that PM'd me about a possible deal could sort out very quickly by how I was responding and how I wanted to do the deal that it wasn't as fishy as the Nigerian scam crap. I take a risk to sending a rifle all the way out to AZ. That's why I explained how I wanted to go through the FFL with them holding it until payment on my end cleared. That's a small burden on the FFL and they stated that the person sending the gun usually gets money FIRST but I told them you can't expect a person in AZ to send that much money on a maybe thing. I hope the FFL understands when my rifle ships away for AZ today and I pray I don't have to file a claim with the USPS for insurance. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
