coues addict Report post Posted June 2, 2004 (edited) CouesSlayer Shed hunting is just like any other kind of hunting! the more effort You put into it, the more You will probably get out of it. I seem to find sheds in creek bottoms, Oak flats, anywhere it looks like a good ambush spot for lion`s etc. Shed Hunting is really a great way to get to know an area and it`s really neet when You do find a shed because You know a Buck was standing right there! at one time. For me it`s really just a good excuse to get out of the house and do some pre season scouting. Usually brown sheds are this past season , but it depends on if it was out in the sun, under a tree, behind a rock, or covered up partially. usually brown sheds are really fresh one`s.
