Swhackers for bull elk? Updated testing..

Recommended Posts

what was your arrow setup, poundage and speed? At 32 yards I figured a full passthru. I still got holes on both sides. I think I drilled a rib center on exit.

I use mechanicals for hunting big game... 100 gr Grim Reaper Razortips. Best broadhead I have used. Last three animals have all been pass throughs and left devistating wound channels. Just my $.02

Just got back from my elk hunt , and had great success with the 125 grain swhacker .Hit my elk a little high at 65 yards , but it took out both lungs and piled up within 40 yards .

I was shooting a 386 grain arrow at just over 300 fps, 70lbs limbs, 29 1/2 inch draw.
