Yes indeed. Honoring the sacrifice of those that died to defend our freedom. Freedoms that seem to be under assault by our current government.

My great uncle died on the beaches of Normandy when he was just 18. A man I never met, as he was killed in combat long before I was born. I inherited my great uncles old .410 single shot shotgun. Someday I am going to refinish that gun, and hang it over the mantle, as a display piece. A reminder of what freedom and sacrifice is all about.

Have a great Memorial day weekend.

God Bless!

Ummm TjHunt2... It's kind of insensitive to put "happy" on the front of Memorial day...

Thank you for reminding me of this. I edited my post. Sorry if I offended anyone. I hope each of you have a save weekend. :)

Thank You for your service those who served our country.

Rest in Peace our fallen heroes.

“I have never been able to think of the day as one of mourning; I have never quite been able to feel that half-masted flags were appropriate on Decoration Day. I have rather felt that the flag should be at the peak, because those whose dying we commemorate rejoiced in seeing it where their valor placed it. We honor them in a joyous, thankful, triumphant commemoration of what they did”. — Benjamin Harrison

God bless our military, past and present!

In honor of memorial day, I am offering 4 free tickets to the Tucson Safari Club International banquet on June 8. These tickets are for veterans or actively serving military (and your spouse). You can call me if you are interested in going - 928-200-0544. You will sit at the CouesWhitetail.com table at the banquet in Tucson at the Loews Ventana Resort. This is a fun banquet!
