New price increases from G&F?!?!

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else heard about this? Drastic price increases proposed from Game and Fish! Better plan on being at the meeting near you to have your voice heard!

Serious changes coming for both residents and NRs. Some interesting license additions but the tag fees are going to change drastically.

$13 app fee... plus

Resident deer tag $45 for general and $100 for premium (all dec draw hunts, Kaibab/strip)

Resident elk $125 cow... $145 bull... $200 premium bull (all early archery/rifle)

NR deer tag 500 premium... 300 general

NR elk tag 350 antlerless... 650 bull... 1000 premium

Youth tags stay the low R and NR.

Don't you always like the notice we get concerning these meetings !!

+1 Snapshot. All they say is show up to our meetings because no hardly does....... One, they schedule a lot of their meetings during the middle of hunts. Probably why a lot of people don't show up. When people do show up they still do what they want. For example a few months ago they held a wolf meeting in alpine about introducing more wolves. More than 80 people showed up ranchers/hunters and myself personally. Not one pro wolf comment was said. And they still introduced more wolves. What a joke. It's a no one win situation since our tax dollars fund these prairie fairy organizations and they pretty much control the g&f. As for shawn's bonus lol just the increase in unit 1 early archery tags alone will make that up.

Public meetings are just a formality, they are going to do what they want. Hunting is a business, and its all about the money. Just look at the amount of tags and the increase in hunts in the units. The working people with kids just can't afford it anymore. But the AZGFD keeps saying to take a kid hunting.I remember a while back I was trying to figure out why tags and licence fees were going up but the AZGFD was pumping hundreds of thousands of dollars in the Ben Avery over the years. Well that was answered when they opened their new office wasn't it. Yup they are going to do what ever they want and make you feel like you have input. I say its about time the public elected the director and have a governing board they have to answer to and not the governor.

Pretty soon they are going to charge a trophy fee for any bull scoring over 300! Why do they get to decide what qualifies as a "premium hunt"?

Its not just AZGF. It's the entire corrupt government. Tax us to death any way they can to spend on those who are to FN lazy to get a job because they will vote for em and special interest BS. Time to take our country back. I understand a small rise in prices for replacing vehicles more officers whatever. But this is falling right in line with the thugs in washington. This is BS.

Everyone needs to take a year off.

Every American, and business entity, should quit paying taxes for one year. We need to quit funding the greed of government.

I will not be able to attend a meeting. I would ask the following...

What kind of input are they looking for from the public?

Clearly an increse in fees is going to be met with resistance from the public- so what exactly what kind "input" are they looking for?

What are they going to do with this information gathered from the meetings?

I would like to make to a motion to do away with all of the meetings on this subject (there seems to be alot) and utilize email responses (ie electronically). This would free up the AZGFDs time and costs to pay employees to attend such meetings. Then "input" the money saved on gathering it electronically and then calculate all of the funds saved from all of the wages of paying numerous employees to sit at the meetings. Take this dollar amount of all the wages combined and take it out of the proposal.
