Unit 9 archery hunt

Just wanted to remind anybody thats wants to come. Me, Jim (Coosefan) and a few other friends and family are going to be at the pizza place there in Tusayan Monday night the 25th. Jim figured Monday night would be good, give everybody a few days to get some 06 elk stories under their belt. I'm thinking somewhere between 7:30 and 8:00.

I will try to be there, man if it rained up there like it did here in Flag yesterday it's going to be a nasty muddy mess. I was praying we would get a storm like this before the hunt!!

Flagstaff Airport reported 0.45" yesterday, 9/14. I got about 3/4" in my rain can in Kachina. Looked from the radar that most was in a band that swept through Flag. Tusayan got 0.2" yesterday.

 

Good luck on your hunts up in 9. Look for some active wallows to sit midday rather than sit in camp waiting for the evening.

I'm guessing at my house in Flagstaff that we received close to an inch of rain yesterday. The Tusuyan area looked like it got smoked yesterday around 1:00 p.m. by what the radar indicated, so there should be tons of water everywhere. The elk will be spread all over the unit, and they should be rutting pretty good this year. I won't be able to make the pizza night, I'll be leaving Sunday night for College. Hopefully I'll see a few of you around up there and we can tell some stories. Good luck to everybody on your hunts around the State, it should be an awesome year!!
