mikep35 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 That has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. It makes me sick. I wonder if the guy from Montgomery Gentry put a bid on that "hunt"!

DotShot Report post Posted September 14, 2006 You know, I completely disagree with this and find it absoloutley disgusting, BUT, if you want to get angry at someone, get angry at the people who pay for that kind of thing, not at the guy trying to make a buck. As long as there is a market for it this kind of stuff will happen. THis kind of situation is all about money, not sport.

I agree with you, but using that logic, we could say that drug dealers are not bad guys, they are just supplying a product. It goes both ways.

I agree with you, but using that logic, we could say that drug dealers are not bad guys, they are just supplying a product. It goes both ways. I completely disagree, drugs are illegal, providing a tophy animal for the taking is not. This is really no different than the hunts ofered at the YO Ranch in Texas, or at the King Ranch. You pay the money, you get the deer you paid for.
DesertBull Report post Posted September 14, 2006 I believe those ranches in Texas are bigger than the state of Rhode Island.
bmf1321 Report post Posted September 14, 2006 Personally, I feel that both the PA hunt and the TX hunts are not my style. I would not be interested in either. I like to get out there in the open and hunt a "wild" animal not farm raised stock. While this style of hunting is not for me, I do not see a problem with it. People have to make a living and people are willing to pay for this type of hunt. People participating in these hunts and providing these hunts are still hunters/ sportsmen/ pro gun and we need to stick together. Just my .02. I was wondering if the animals killed on these types of hunts (TX and PA) are eligable for P&Y or B/C books.
DotShot Report post Posted September 14, 2006 They are not eligible as they must be free ranging in order to qualify.
