suggestions on a good tripod?

I recently bought a manfrotto pistol head, but it won't work with my current tripod. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a tripod that would be compatible with this head? I don't want to spend to much on a new tripod, something around a $100. If anyone has a used one they want to sell let me know. Thx

Get on cameralandny.com they have the promaster 423 on sale for $99, I love mine! They give you a cheap head with it for free. But I just ordered a manfrotto head for it. Carbon fiber and light weight.

There is a vanguard for sale in the classifieds. That what I have and I love it.

probably just need the 1/4" x 20 thread adapter, cost you a couple bucks at most

Ya, I have a vanguard but you can remove the head on the one I have. I'm going to try and get a adapter for it, but I still won't be able to use my manfrotto head with it.

Slik 330proez, they are strictly a tripod manufacturer. I found this one to be really light for not being carbon fiber. The head that comes with this one is really well made as well.

I've got a Velbon graphite tripod that I love. Manfrotto floating head on top.

Why is that? If it has the 1/4x20, then your fine. Do you have pics of your problem?
