tripod adapter

Recommended Posts

I bought a tripod adapter (plastic) and it just isn't working out for me (too much movement). I like the swarovski set up with the straps but cant seem to find a set up like it in town. Swarovski set up is too expensive for my taste, I'm looking for something under $50. Any help would be appreciated.

It is not hard to fabricate something of your own. I did it for my binos and use it all the time. It is a velcro kind of unit. It is a flat sheet that has just the right bend in it for my eyes and then velcro straps go over it to hold it in place.

I think I will try to fabricate something, and if that fails I will look into that leica set up it looks like it will do the job. Thanks for the suggestions.

What kind of binos are going to use it on? I have one that we made here at our shop for my Leicas using velcro and it works great. I no longer use it since I bought my big binos and you are welcome to it.

You guys really need to look at the Jim White adapter amanda sells on here. It works much better than the Swarovski one (I have three of them) and quite using the Swarovski one and use only the Jim White adapter. It is lighter, stronger and holds your bino's more secure to the tripod. I assume Jim makes these

for other types of bino's than just Swaro's. Maybe Amanda can post an article or cut sheet on the various bino's jims adapters work with. It is really worth spending the 30 - 50 bucks on this adapter........Allen.......

What kind of binos do you have? I sell the adapters that Jim White makes and most of them run $20-$30 and are excellent. But it makes a difference what binos you have.

Brian, thanks for the offer but I'm gonna see what a Jim White adapter will do for me. By the way I got the 87 Nissan running decent. It's not perfect but it'll do for now, thanks for making the transaction smooth, I'd do business with you anytime. Rich
