Viper Report post Posted April 24, 2013 Just a FYI. I've heard some possitive and negative stories about Leica service, so I thought I'd post my recent experience. After 10 years of use, I had to send in my Leica 12x50 Trinovids due to a focus issue in the left eyepiece. No RMA was necessary, just a description of the problem and mailing info. I sent them in the original box with a copy of the original paperwork to the NJ repair facility. Some folks stated the only repair status they got from Leica was a mailed letter. I wanted to avoid delay, so I contacted a service rep to verify they received them. She was very nice and helpful. I still got the status letter in the mail, but also had piece of mind through a phone call and emails. It took about 3 weeks to get them back, but I was relieved to find out the repair and cleaning/adjusting cost me nothing, only shipping to Leica. They work/look great now! Good for another 10+ years

Apatkelley Report post Posted April 25, 2013 I've used Leica for years because the quality of service I've experienced. I've sent my 10x42 Trinovids in twice in the 15 + years I've owned them and was never charged a cent even when they replaced major components. Another time, I sent in a 6 year old LRF 800 for calibration and they sent me a brand new CRF 1200 back in the mail.......no charge!! I'll never change to another brand.
