Need Bow Restrung

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if any of you could help me out. I have a bow hunt coming up at the end of Sept. and need to get my bow restrung. I am just trying to be proactive and want to get plenty of practice in on a new string before that time.

My question is...do any of you know or can personally recommend someone to do this in the east valley area? I know sportsman's warehouse does it but would like to know who is out there. A ball park price too if you happen to know it but that is not as important to me as a reputable referral.

Thanks for the help!

I don't know the east valley at all, but I would definitely NOT take it to sportsmans warehouse! Ross outdoors is a great shop! Good guys and very knowledge able. They put a America's best string on my bow last year for $130. It's been a great string so far.

Take it to Robert at broken arrow. He is the best in the east valley. Awesome guy also

$100-$150 seems to be about the going price. I ended up going to Tom at Sportsmans in Mesa for my last string and am very pleased with both the string and the work he did.

I'm sure there are other great places out there but I also strongly recommend Robert at Broken Arrow Archery. A great guy that does great work.

I've always had good luck with George @ Archery Headquarters off of Chandler. I don't know if that qualifies as "East Valley" but when you live in Buckeye, everything beyond Cabelas is "East Valley" haha.

Best custom bow string I have found go see Dave at Mile High Archery in Prescott Valley. A little pricey and it might take 10 days but its worth it.

I just dropped mine off at Ross Outdoors, having an Americas Best Bowstring put on. I'll let you know how it goes.
