cactusjack Report post Posted April 16, 2013 I know there are many ways to attach a rifle to a tripod, but I couldn't find one that didn't have to always be on the rifle that worked with the Manfrotto 501/701 heads. I took a quick detach mount that is used to put an ACOG onto a Picatinny rail and inverted it and attached it to the plate. Works great. I can switch it without tools between anything that i have with a rail on the bottom.

cactusjack Report post Posted April 16, 2013 The bolt gun is in a Manners stock and I attached the small rail that is in the picture. When I get back home I will post the pics. I used a forstner bit and counter sunk the anchors just like Manners did. I had to use stainless machine screws because that was what was available at my Ace Hardware. Pics updated. cactusjack Report post Posted May 18, 2013 Was talking with Amanda and I told her about the suppressor on the 308 I put together. Here is a short video of my 15yo (102lb) son shooting it suppressed. http://s1355.photobucket.com/user/sdking35/media/VID_20130410_155401_374_zps983b51ef.mp4.html

87lc Report post Posted July 13, 2013 That looks good, but what looks better is the 40 behind it. Are you on mud? As my name says I have an 87 FJ60.
cactusjack Report post Posted July 13, 2013 Good eye. I am on mud. I have a 77, that I bought to wheel, but is to nice to ruin. I bought it bone stock with 72k miles on it 8 years ago, from the 2nd owner. First owner had it 4 months, then was sent to Korea for 3 years so he sold it to his commander. So I have an 88 FJ62 that I bought to trash. Had a 86 FJ60 that a friend talked me into selling to him. Still regret selling it. I might have some hoarding issues.
